INDEPENDENT: To The End of the World English (Fan) Lyrics
The sound of laughter is the best to wipe away any kind of sorrow This feeling of blissful happiness is something you taught me, you know. From when I was young, I watched you live from afar from where I was I wanted to please you, be the ideal I thought you wanted of me You told me the secret of the older girl that you liked She was beautiful, and so endearing, everything I wanted to be Knowing I couldn’t catch up with her, so I pressed my luck and leapt back in time when we

INDEPENDENT: Hikari English (Fan) Lyrics
In this silence I stand alone (empty) Light in the dark I'm on my own (and yet) These promises kept by time My hesitance, it only makes me falter A desperate wish that remains unspoken Yes you will get along well My family and you both together Transcending through time Our bond is unbroken Transcending through time You'll always be by my side You are the light that will find me in this endless darkness Pray this night will be over soon Talk to me Tomorrow's a new day Please

ACADEMIC: She Didn't Make It
For my digital media class, we were to take stock footage and use it to tell a story. For mine, it's meant to tell the story of a girl undergoing a procedure, but as it progresses, her light begins to dim. Whether this is a woman dying of old age (ie. her "youth" dimming) or a young girl tragically dying, is up to the viewer.

ACADEMIC: Caffeinated Lifeline
For my video production class, I used the concept of a caffeine addiction to tell an "everyday life" story. Maki Amano is the subject of this particular piece.

PROFESSIONAL/INDEPENDENT: Reservation Promo
In my free time, I made promotional material for my store and district when I worked at GameStop to help drive up reservations. These are some examples. I took inspiration from Dana Paras (Danabi.Artes) for my figurine promos. DISCLAIMER: I was not commissioned by GameStop to make these. (Copyrighted works are unofficial and unsponsored)

ACADEMIC: がんばれ
がんばれ For a university class, in which we made something visually symbolic. I made a physical piece to match a written piece. I used puffy paints, washi tape, acrylic markers, decodens, and a paint board. The theme is "sweet depression". がんばれ The boy smiles. Again his efforts paid off. Reaching the top of his class, the only one with a perfect score. がんばれ The girl stands motionless, alone in her despair despite the others around her. They talk about the latest gossip. She list

ACADEMIC: "The Last Minute" - Film Studies Final
My group and I were tasked to come up with a video centered around a film genre. This could be parodies of videos, a "documentary", etc. We had conflicting ideas, and it wasn't until a week before the project was due, did we finally come up with one. We would center the theme around a group of college students (us) pitching ideas to each other. This way, we could incorporate everything we had in mind! Editing and script done by Joe Pickering

ACADEMIC: Self Portrait: "Here I Am" - 11th Grade Project
As an artist and a person, there are many things that make me unique. To start off, I’m not the kind of person who tags along and blindly follows others. I’m always voicing my opinion and usually the only one standing. I show who I am and what I truly believe in my art, using symbolism, characters, emotions, and so on. And for this piece in particular, represents all these different parts that make up who I am. It shows that I don’t focus my attention on only one thing that I

ACADEMIC: Inspirational Person - 11th Grade Project
Li Kovacs is a large inspiration to me because she displays a never ending determination to complete what she already started. Li’s hard work on her costumes and projects inspire me to strive for greatness in my own work and to never give up. Shown above is Li Kovacs in her signature costume, “Link”.

INDEPENDENT: Screen Toning
Examples of screentoning using professional grade screentone sheets for mangaka

ACADEMIC: Track I - Battle
Made in Reason for my music class back in college. I had video game enemy music in mind.

ACADEMIC: Safety Procedures: "Derp" - 9th Grade Project
My original group for a previous project disbanded into two separate groups. As a result, my partner and I came up with our own idea - that was to make safety posters. As High Tech High utilizes hands-on technology, we decided to take a humorous "common sense" approach to handing tools. At this time, in 2011, "derp" was a popular meme, that implied stupidity or having a "brain fart". My partner sketched out an image of a heavily stylized cartoon character eating hot glue. I c

ACADEMIC: Team Name Campaign - 9th Grade Project
Every year, the class was tasked to come up with a "team name" for our class. My group and I decided to take some inspiration from video games - more specifically, Call of Duty and Modern Warfare . Our two teachers had the initials "A" and "K" together, so we went with a play on words, "AK57", for the amount of students in our class. These are two drafts that I came up with in Adobe Photoshop.

ACADEMIC: Adobe Illustrator - Mesh Examples
An image using the mesh tool in Adobe Illustrator. At this time, I had just gotten back into the Final Fantasy series; and so along with the setting, I decided to use a cactar, instead of a regular cactus. (Any referenced copyrighted works are unofficial and unsponsored. These pieces are only for academic purposes)

ACADEMIC: See Something, Say Something
During the 2020 elections, my digital arts class assigned us to create a piece centered around encouraging people to vote. I made this in Adobe Illustrator, using quotes from Donald Trump and Joe Biden in the form of two hands holding the overall message.

ACADEMIC: The Biology of Autism - 11th Grade Project
For my biology class, we were going over the science of neurological disorders. My team was in charge of presenting our findings on Autism. This was our visual for it, using available images from online at the time. Made in Photoshop CS6

ACADEMIC: Gamers Club Flyer 2014
In my junior year, some of my friends started "Card Game Club". The next year, we collectively decided to revamp it into "Gamers Club". This was the flyer we handed out during club rush. Made with Photoshop CS6 (All copyrighted material is unofficial and unsponsored. Intended only for academic purposes)

INDEPENDENT: Jeanne d'Arc Cosplay Flag
Worked with a friend of mine on this. The flag itself was sewn and made by my cousin. After she sent it to me, we began adding to it. Both of us went to the fabric store to get some tassels and some small rope-like material to outline the emblem. This is unofficial and unsponsored. Intended only for recreational purposes.
