My original group for a previous project disbanded into two separate groups. As a result, my partner and I came up with our own idea - that was to make safety posters. As High Tech High utilizes hands-on technology, we decided to take a humorous "common sense" approach to handing tools. At this time, in 2011, "derp" was a popular meme, that implied stupidity or having a "brain fart". My partner sketched out an image of a heavily stylized cartoon character eating hot glue. I colored it in Adobe Photoshop.
