ACADEMIC: Dark Magician Girl's Wand

During high school in 2013, we were tasked to make a physical piece for my art class without buying new materials. I chose to make Dark Magician Girl's wand from Yu-Gi-Oh!.

The piece was made fully by recycled materials. My teacher gave me an old PVC pipe and cut it to the ideal length. Afterwards, I painted it and used a bouncy ball to use as the bottom gold orb. My father helped me spray paint it golden and later on glued it to the bottom.

The swirl shape on the top is made from foam. I drew a rough sketch of the shape and traced it onto the foam, before shaping, coating, and painting. The rod was then attached. Rubber sleeves are taken from old exercise equipment and then repainted.
